Man kills 10 family members in Morocco

A Moroccan man used a large kitchen knife to murder his parents and eight other family members and relatives before he was controlled by the police.

The man stabbed 10 people one after another then chased his four daughters before he was arrested by cops, who were called by neighbours in Casablanca, Morocco’s second largest city.

Police used two helicopters to unleash warning shots at the man but he did not stop, prompting a large police force to storm the house and arrest him.

Newspapers in Morocco said the man was apparently suffering from mental illness as he had been treated at a psychiatry hospital in town.
