Mohamed bin Zayed receives Hamad Al Sharqi

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received this evening at Al Bateen Palace HH Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, who was accompanied by Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah.

Sheikh Mohamed and Sheikh Hamad exchanged Ramadan greetings and prayed to Allah Almighty to bless President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan with good health and longevity and to endow UAE with more progress and prosperity.

They discussed the ongoing efforts for sustainable development under the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Present were Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, and Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

 

Mohamed attends lecture on corporate motivation

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, attended at his Ramadan Majlis on Wednesday the 5th Ramadan lecture on the drive and corporate motivation, delivered by Dr Daniel Pink, economic analyst and author of best-selling books.

 
Present were Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of the Federal National Council, Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, a number of Sheikhs, ministers and senior officials. 
 
Pink lauded the achievements made by the UAE in terms of productivity and performance, which render it as a regional leader. He also applauded the 'Year of the Reading' initiative, launched by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, saying that motivating the youth to read would enable them increase their knowledge and creative abilities.
 
He called on other countries to emulate the UAE example for pursuing progress and knowledge, technical and scientific advancement.
 
Pink argued that human motivation is largely intrinsic, and that the aspects of this motivation can be divided into autonomy, mastery, and purpose, saying the old models of motivation is driven by rewards and fear of punishment, is dominated by extrinsic factors.
 
He also said that when organizations are really looking to achieve breakthrough innovations, they need to motivate their workers by recognising their desire to be a valued team member who contributes to significant solutions.
 
He referred to the saying of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces about the post-oil era in 2050s and the need to invest in human resources as the nation's true wealth.
 
 
Mohamed bin Zayed receives Emirates Youth Council members
 
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces received this evening at Al Bateen Palace members of the Emirates Youth council (EYC), who were accompanied by Shamma bint Sohail Faris AlMazrui, Minister of State for Youth Affairs.
 
Sheikh Mohamed exchanged Ramadan greetings with the EYC members and said the UAE, under the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has attached great importance to the youth welfare.
 
Sheikh Mohamed further said that the leadership and people of the UAE believe that the youth can contribute to the country's growth and development through their skills, innovation and positive energy.
 
He called for investing in the youth abilities to achieve the ultimate goals of excellence and innovation, saying that the youth are the future of the UAE and are capable of facing all challenges  of the future.
 
The EYC members expressed thanks to the UAE's leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for supporting and encouraging the youth to achieve their ambitions and to work for the future of the UAE.
 
 
Mohamed receives members of Adnoc executive management
 
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces received this evening at Al Bateen Palace members of the executive management at the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc), who were accompanied by Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State and CEO of the Adnoc Group.
 
Sheikh Mohamed exchanged Ramadan greetings with the Adnoc executives and said that the UAE, under the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, will continue to develop the energy sectors, including the oil and gas sector, as a key component for the comprehensive development and a contributor to the national economy.
 
He emphasised the need to instill the concepts of development and innovation and to improve the company's capabilities, performance and competitive edge to guarantee success and to maintain the country's high position among the world's leaders in oil and gas.
 
He said Adnoc remains to be a major contributor to the national economy and to comprehensive development drive and expressed the hope that the company will continue its focus on innovation and excellence to maintain its competitive abilities.
 
"The successes and achievements made by Adnoc throughout the past four decades provide a huge incentive to continue investing in building and developing national human resources and to encourage the young talents to assume leading roles in this vital sector," he said.
 
He also stressed the importance of building meaningful partnership to attract investments and to transfer technical expertise and advanced technology in the oil and gas industry to maximise revenues and profitability in exploration, development and production and to add values to the supply operations.
 
He expressed confidence in ADNOC's ability to usher in a promising future that will enhance UAE's prominent position in the energy sector and maintain the company's reputation and lead.
 
The executive management members thanked Sheikh Mohamed for his support and directives which play a major role in the company's progress.
 
 
Mohamed bin Zayed meets business leaders
 
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces received this evening at Al Bateen Palace a number of young business leaders who are supported by the Khalifa Fund for Enterprises Development.
 
The entrepreneurs, accompanied by the Fund's Chairman Hussain Jassem Al Nowais and Chief Executive Officer Abdullah Saeed Al Darmaki, offered greetings to Sheikh Mohamed on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
 
Sheikh Mohamed praised the efforts made by the Khalifa Fund to help the youth with their innovative ideas and projects and highlighted its role in support of the government's efforts to achieve sustainable development.
 
He said the Fund had contributed in changing the traditional outlook for business and in encouraging a large segment of the Emiratis to join small and medium-size businesses and to promote the culture of smart and fruitful investments.
 
He urged the Fund's management to continue their efforts to empower the yound Emiratis and to promote the spirit of excellence and innovation among them. He also called on the young entrepreneurs to work hard to translate their innovative ideas into tangible and successful businesses in the vital sectors.
 
The entrepreneurs expressed their gratitude to the UAE's wise leadership for providing unlimited support to them in their business and social projects.  
 
Mohamed receives young Emirati inventor
 
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces received this evening at Al Bateen Palace the young Emirati inventor Adeeb Sulaiman Al Baloushi and his sister Dana, who were accompanied by their father and their brother Ahmed.
 
Sheikh Mohamed expressed pleasure at meeting with the Emirati talents who translated their skills into unique inventions that became the pride of the UAE. He praised the contributions of Adeeb and Dana through innovative works that drew admiration during international events.
 
Sheikh Mohamed engaged in talks with the young inventors about their activities and award-winning works and urged them to continue their journey for excellence.
 
He affirmed that the UAE will continue to support and nurture Emirati talents and to develop their capabilities for further success.
