Molester says victim reminded him of son

An Asian man accused of molesting a 14-year-old girl in Abu Dhabi denied molestation charges, saying he had done so because the girl reminded him of his son, a newspaper reported on Tuesday.

During trial on Monday, the prosecution accused the man of kissing and touching parts of the body of the unnamed girl, Alittihad said.

“The defendant said he had done so not to molest the girl but because she reminded him of his son in his home country,” it said, adding that trial was adjourned to June 21.
