A new mother in China was arrested after she was allegedly discovered biting into her newborn’s arms.

The 24-year-old woman was found on the streets in the process of giving birth when she was rushed to a hospital.

On the third day after she delivered a baby boy, a nurse at the hospital allegedly saw her biting the newborn’s arm. When she refused to stop, the hospital staff forcibly opened her jaws apart and rescued the infant, according to a report in naij.com.

The baby’s arm was bleeding from the arms.

Police investigations reveal that the woman was allegedly thrown out of the house by her mother-in-law. She was living on the streets until she began giving birth and was rushed to hospital.

She is reportedly mentally unstable.

Officials are yet to decide if the baby should be officially confiscated from her and her husband’s family as they no longer seem to want to be associated with her.
