A fifth batch of Emirati male and female recruits on Saturday thronged the national service training centres of the GHQ of the UAE Armed Forces. The new recruits will receive military, fitness, security and nationalism training and education.

The recruits are employees and university graduates who volunteered to join military service where they will receive training to take part in defending the country.

Staff Pilot Major-General Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Chairman of the National and Reserve Service Authority, said the continuous success of the national service project requires continuous efforts from all.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces described the soldiers as a source of pride for the country and a pillar of its future, he added.

Sheikh Tahnoun said the recruits show high morale and loyalty to their country and leaders.
