A bathtub carved with precious and healing stones sold on Saturday for Dh6.4 million, on the sidelines of the Dubai International Jewellery show, according to Emarat Al Youm.
Kaijo, the manufacturer of the bathtub issued the above in a statement released by Dubai World Trade Centre, which organised the exhibition.
The bathtub is the first of its kind in the world, the statement said, made with stones known for powerful therapeutic abilities.
Meanwhile, Rica Bereesa, Director of Marketing and Sales at Kaijo, manufacturer of the bathtub, said, "The bathtub labeled (Le Grand Queen), which was sold to a buyer, who asked not to be identified, is a piece of luxury unparalleled in the world.
"The ancient Chinese and Egyptians, the Arabs realized thousands of years ago, the beauty of this stone and its therapeutic significance.”
Bereesa emphasised that the enormous energy derived from the earth and the universe, stored in the stone over millions of years.
