Paris-bound Sri Lankan flight lands in Tehran

Colombo: Sri Lankan Airline flight UL563 bound for Charles de Gaulle Airport, Paris, from Bandaranaike International airport Colombo was diverted to Tehran Khomeini International Airport, Iran, for an urgent medical emergency.

On February 4, a passenger complained of chest pain. A doctor onboard examined the passenger and recommended that he receive immediate medical attention.

Accordingly flight UL563 landed in Tehran Khomeini International Airport, Iran at 2.10am (local time). The passenger was administered urgent medical attention and rushed to a nearby hospital.

After refueling, the flight took off from Teheran Airport at 5.05 am with a delay of 3.45 hours.
