18-year-old Filipina has 144-year-old body

An 18-year-old Filipina has a body of a woman aged 144.

According to a report in 'Asiaone', Ana Rochelle Pondare suffers from a rare and fatal genetic condition called progeria, which causes her body to age 10 times faster than normal.

Life expectancy of those suffering from this condition is an average 14 years. So, Pondare's 18th birthday was a momentous occasion as she lived well past her prognosis.

And one of Pondare's birthday wishes was to meet Sarah Geronimo, Filipino singer, actress and television personality. She posed for a selfie with her idol on her big day.

According to the Progeria Research Foundation, there are currently 80 children in the world who suffer from the condition .
