The former Binibining (Bb) Pilipinas-Universe Venus Raj and her boyfriend, Andrei Felix, have been axed from the shows they were in at ABS-CBN, for too much PDA, or public display of affection.

This develops following a number of complaints filed by their cohosts, costars and other staff members in some shows aired at the Kapamilya (One Family) Network who alleged that the lovers’ behaviour on the set was very distracting.

Raj, who was crowned Bb. Pilipinas (Miss Philippines) in 2010 and represented the country in the Miss Universe beauty pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada on the same year, where she won fourth runner-up, and Felix last month said they were going to tie the knot.

People who were working with them told entertainment writers that the couple kept on sitting at each other’s lap and were caught locking lips in a number of times.

“It seemed like they were the only people in the room or on the set,” one staff member of an ABS-CBN show, where Raj used to co-host, said. “C’mon, we’re no prude people around here. But there must be some level of decency that people have to maintain in their workplace. This is not their bedroom.”
The couple worked together, among other shows, in ‘Umagang Kay Ganda’ (A Beautiful Morning), which includes news on the traffic situation around Metro Manila and what’s happing in the regions all over the Philippines.
A radio jock at Max FM 103.5, Felix is formerly a Star Circle Quest (SCQ) member before he joined the entertainment industry where he met Raj.
A reality-based talent competition that premiered on ABS-CBN on March 1, 2004, SCQ features 10 contestants per season who are called ‘questors’. These contestants will then undergo talent training, physical makeover and different challenges to test their entertainment skills.
