The pilot of a Saudi flight en route from Egypt to the Gulf Kingdom aborted flight at Cairo airport after a 14-year-old boy panicked and started to scream.
The captain of Saudia flight 308 was preparing for take-off when the boy, Abdullah, went into screaming fit because he was frightened of flying.
The Saudi daily ‘Ajel’ said the pilot radioed the control tower and decided to taxi back to the airport after the boy refused to stop crying.
“Medical examination at the airport showed the boy was suffering from a fit as he was frightened of flying. Authorities decided to prevent him, his parents and sister from boarding the flight. The aircraft then resumed its flight to Jeddah,” it said.
