Police rescue woman with 3 kids after tyre bursts

A woman with three children in her car was driving on her way to Dubai Mall when one of the tyres burst in the middle of the road.

Instead of calling her husband, the woman panicked and phoned the police, who arrived at the scene after just four minutes.

The woman had phoned the police out of fear for her children on a busy road that morning, not realising the police man would offer more than protection.

Although he looked old, the policeman came rushing towards the woman, reassured her, smiled at the kids, and got to work changing the tyre after putting police boards in front and behind the vehicle for road security.

It was a very hot day and the cop started to sweat heavily as he was half way through his work before realising the woman did not have a lever.

He walked back to his car and brought a lever, which he used to fix the tyre for the woman, who kept staring at the policeman with surprise.

Once the tyre was fixed, the sweating police man came to the woman, wished her safety and asked her if she needs anything else. He then smiled again and tapped the kids on the head before he got into his car and drove away.

“The woman said she now knows that the police in Dubai could be the only security system in the world whose members do such a job although it is outside their assignment.

“On her way to Dubai Mall, her children started to flood her with questions about Dubai Police,” the Al Bayan Arabic language daily said.
