Policeman gets two years for rape attempt

A Saudi court sentenced a local police man for two years in prison and ordered him lashed 250 times for trying to rape a boy in return of letting him out of prison, a newspaper reported on Thursday.

The boy, who was in a juvenile delinquency centre, pretended to accept an offer from a police man to let him out in return for sleeping with him, the online Arabic language daily Sabq said.

“He took the boy in his police car and went to a deserted area,” the paper said in a report from the southern province of Asir.

“When the police man took his clothes off, the boy started the car.

and drove away, leaving the police man in his underwear…the boy reached home and told his father, who told police.”
