'Poverty' drives dad to kill own baby in Kuwait

An Asian father in Kuwaiti strangled his three-month-old son to death and told police later he had committed the crime because of poverty.

The man killed his baby, put the body in a plastic bag and dumped it near a building in the capital Kuwait City, according to Al Watan daily.

“He had planned the crime with his wife but she could not stay silent.

“So she went to the police later and told them about the murder,” the paper said.
“The man confessed to the murder and said he had done so because he is poor and cannot support his son,” it added without identifying the couple.
