A racist thug stuffed ham into the shoes of muslims who were praying in a mosque on January 9. The 30-year-old man also draped slices of the meat - which is banned for Muslims - on railings outside the Al Baseera mosque in the St Judes area of Bristol, UK.
The accused has escaped a jail term and walked free from court, reports Daily Mail.
His horrific actions were caught on CCTV and he was also seen hurling abuses at worshippers while the latter were praying.
Jamie Knowlson initially told police it was just a 'drunken joke' but later admitted that he was fully aware of the offence his actions would cause, the daily said.
Knowlson later pleaded guilty to causing harassment and could have been jailed for up to two years, but he was set free by Bristol Crown Court with a suspended six-month prison sentence because he had returned to the mosque to apologise for his actions, said the paper.
The Al-Baseera mosque in the St Judes area of Bristol is used by more than 2,000 Somali Muslims every week.
