RAK Foundation wins contest

The Ras Al Khaimah Foundation for The Holy Quran and its Sciences, has won the top spots in the 17th edition of the Annual Competition of the Maktoum Centres for Memorisation of Holy Quran of the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai.

Students, who won the top positions in a nationwide contest, were honoured at the closing ceremony, held at the theatre of the department.

Ahmed Mohammed Al Shehhi, Director-General of Ras Al Khaimah Foundation for The Holy Quran and its Sciences, said the foundation was represented by three students in the final tests, and they all won the first places in the contest.

He added that the best performance of Emirati students in this competition "reflects the excellence achieved by the students of the foundation and UAE nationals in all disciplines."

For their part, the winners expressed their satisfaction in the contest, which represents an incentive for them to excel in memorising the Quran.
