RAK police bank on films to warn customers of fraudsters

Ras Al Khaimah Police has prepared a number of documentary films which aim to raise awareness of bank customers about the operations of criminal gangs who target them.

RAK Police is coordinating with various banks in the emirate to enable customers to view the films via displays inside bank branches.

Major Marwan Abdullah, director of media and public relations of RAK Police, said the initiative for making the films came from Rakbank.

Though targetting of bank customers by gangs is not yet a major cause of concern, RAK Police believes in raising awareness of bank customers to prevent them from becoming victims of theft, robbery and fraud, Maj Abdullah said.
