10-year-old Saudi girl killed by lightning

A lightning killed a 10-year-old Saudi girl who was playing outside her home during a rainstorm in the Gulf kingdom, a newspaper reported on Thursday.

The girl was rushed to hospital but doctors said they could not save her after her heart stopped, Sabq Arabic language daily said.

“We tried to resuscitate her but the bolt was so strong that it hit the heart,” the paper added, quoting a doctor at hospital in the southern Jazan province.
