100-year-old Saudi becomes a student

A Saudi adult literacy centre has just received its latest pupil—a 100-year-old local man, who has already impressed the centre supervisors.

Mohammed Al Zubaidi is the oldest man to join the centre in the western Saudi town of Makkah and is one of the most punctual students.

“Education authorities supervising the centre said they have been impressed by this man and his determination to learn at this age,” Okaz daily said.
