115-year-old Saudi survives surgery

A 115-year-old Saudi man, one of the oldest persons in the Gulf kingdom, underwent a prostatectomy surgery and doctors said it was successful.

'Sabq' newspaper quoted  doctors at the government hospital in the Southern town of Baha as saying the prostate weighed around 103 gm before it was removed.

“It was a difficult operation given the patient’s age, but it was successful,” the paper said, adding that the man was suffering from urinary retention.
