6 soldiers killed in Jordan bomb attack

Four Border Guards, one Civil Defence member and another Public Security Department member were killed early Tuesday, after a terrorist attack targeted a military site operated by Jordanian soldiers serving Syrian refugees in the Al-Rakban area of the border with Syria, a Jordanian military source said.

Jordan News Agency, Petra, quoted a statement by the Jordan Armed Forces- Arab Army General Command Headquarters as explaining that 14 other soldiers were injured in the cowardly terrorist attack, 9 of whom are Public Security Department personnel.

"Such criminal acts will only add to our unshaken determination to fight terrorism and terrorists' ideologies regardless of their motives," the statement reaffirmed.
