90-year-old man vanishes on way to mosque

A 90-year-old Saudi man disappeared and never returned home while on his way to a nearby mosque in a hilly village in the Gulf Kingdom, the Saudi Arabic language daily Shams reported on Wednesday.

Jubran Al Qahtani donned his black gown and red headgear and headed as usual to the nearby mosque in Numais for prayers, the paper said.

“He just vanished and never returned home…his relatives told the police who are searching for the short, slim man,” the paper said.

Numais is located near the town of Abha, which is situated nearly 2,200 metres above sea level in the fertile mountains of the southwestern province of Asir
