91 killed in Oman road mishaps in one month

Road mishaps killed 91 people in Oman in just one month despite an ongoing police drive to curb reckless driving which is blamed for most of the accidents, official statistics showed on Tuesday.

The report by Omani traffic police showed 834 people were also injured in 544 road accidents in April.

The accidents included 249 head-on car crashes and the rest involved overturn, hitting fixed objects and knocking over 74 people.
