A housemaid who had disappeared from her Saudi employer’s home for weeks was found only metres away — living with her lover just opposite the house.
The Saudi employer in the Red Sea Port of Jeddah had spent weeks looking for the maid until he was told by the expatriate driver of his Saudi neigbours that he should get another maid, 'Al Yaoum' Arabic language daily reported on Wednesday.
The man suspected the motives of the driver and decided to watch him after giving up hope of finding his maid, the paper said.
“His suspicions came true when he saw a woman wearing a local gown and a veil enter the driver’s house… He rushed in and banged the door and could not believe his eyes when he saw his maid inside,” it said.
“The maid told the police that she had been seduced by the driver when he saw her throwing the garbage outside the house. She said he convinced her to live with him so he could find her a better job.”
