AIDS-infected couple held for intimate meeting

Saudi Arabia’s Islamic police arrested a local boy and a girl for having an intimate meeting at a public place without being related to each other. But the couple told them they have one thing in common: AIDS.
During a routine inspection of a shopping mall in the western Red Sea port of Jeddah, members of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice noticed the couple at a coffee shop.
“When they checked them, they found that they are not related, so they arrested them for having an illegitimate meeting,” Sharq newspaper said.
“The couple were taken to the Commission centre, where they said admitted of being close to each other because both are suffering from AIDS.”
The paper the couple were handed to the local police to take the necessary measures, including confinement and treatment.
