A nurse strolling outside a Saudi public hospital during his break stumbled across a newborn baby girl stuffed alive inside a plastic container, a newspaper in the Gulf kingdom reported on Thursday.
The nurse found the baby inside the pot that was concealed in a used tyre thrown in the backyard, 'Sabq' Arabic language daily said.
The nurse phoned the ambulance which transferred the girl to hospital, where doctors said she was in good condition.
“Police are investigating the case to locate the mother, who was stripped off human and maternal feelings towards her own baby,” the paper said in a report from the eastern province of Ihsa.
