Bird-hit Saudi plane in emergency landing

A Saudi passenger aircraft on a domestic flight made an emergency landing after hitting a bird in air, a newspaper reported on Sunday.

The plane, owned by national carrier Saudia Airlines, returned to airport in the southern Jazan province 40 minutes after takeoff.

Sada daily said the plane was on its way to the capital Riyadh with many passengers when it hit the bird in air.

“The plane made an emergency landing after hitting a bird…there were no casualties or damage to the aircraft,” it said.
