Boy’s finger rescued from tight ring

A Saudi man had to call a rescue team to save the finger of his son after it stuck inside a rusting ring and started to swell, a newspaper reported on Sunday.

The 15-year-old boy from the northern province of Turaif struggled in vain for nearly six hours to release his finger, Alriyadh said.

“In the end, his father called the civil defence…they cut off the ring and freed the boy’s finger in about 10 minutes,” it said.
