Bride killed a day after marriage

A 33-year-old bride was killed just a day after she married and police said they were interrogating her husband, according to a local newspaper.

Samah Mohammed Tawfiq was found lying dead in a pool of blood in the bathroom of her new apartment in the Egyptian capital Cairo by her relatives, who went to congratulate her on the next day of her wedding, ‘Al Ahram’ Arabic language daily said.

Police arrested her 35-year-old husband Ibrahim, who denied killing his wife.
