Bride tells groom she was raped by cousin

A Moroccan bride waited for her bridegroom to come to the bedroom on the first day of their honeymoon to tell him she was raped by her cousin.

The groom was shocked when she rebuffed his advances many times before she rushed to the bathroom and hurt herself, newspapers said.

According to a report from capital Rabat, the woman tried to mislead her husband but he discovered that she was not a virgin despite the wound she caused to herself.

Pressed by her husband, the wife told him she was raped by her cousin in the past.

The report said the man called the bride’s mother who sent a car to take her daughter, adding that he informed the police after he could not track her again.
