Briton stabbed near hotel in Kuwait

An unknown assailant stabbed a British expatriate in the back as he stepped out of a hotel in Kuwait, a newspaper reported on Sunday.

The unnamed Briton was admitted to hospital with stabs in the back and police believe there were no political motives behind the attack, Alanba said.

The Briton has just let the “famous” hotel in Munqaf area in Alahmadi in Kuwait City on Saturday when the unknown man jumped on him and stabbed him in the back before running away, the paper said, quoting security sources.

“Police believe the attack has no political motives and could have been launched for robbery,” the Arabic language daily said.
