Camel saved after falling into sewage pit

Civil defence men used a massive crane and heavy ropes to lift a camel out to safety after it plunged into an open sewage pit in the Gulf Kingdom.

The rescuers had rushed to the farm after its owner reported that his camel fell into a sewage pit dug near the farm in the southern Jazan province.

“The camel was plucked out of the hole after a rescue operation of nearly one hour…it was not hurt and was handed over to its owner,” Sada daily said.
