Car smashes through Saudi airport gate

An unmanned car smashed through the glass of the departure gate at an airport in Saudi Arabia after a child pulled down its hand brakes.

The car owner had kept the engine running and left it parked in front of the gate at the airport in the Eastern port of Dammam to see off a friend.

"A child got into the car and pulled down the hand brakes. It moved and smashed through the departure gate," Sabq newspaper said, adding that it damaged the gate but there were no casualties.
