Doctors in Saudi Arabia spent more than eight hours to stitch back the severed leg of a Nigerian carpenter after it was accidentally cut off by an electric saw during work.

The 30-year-old worker was cutting wood at carpentry in the southern town of Abha when the electric saw fell off and devoured his leg just under his knee, Okaz daily said.

The worker was rushed to a nearby hospital by an ambulance which gave him first aid treatment on the way, it said.

“Doctors urgently performed a surgery that last more than eight hours to reconstruct the man’s leg…the operation was successful and doctors said he would leave hospital soon.”
