Arab coalition warplanes attacked coup rebel targets in the Yemeni capital Sanaa on Sunday as the resistance said it was ready to start the liberation battle.

Yemen Press news website quoted residents as saying the jets pounded rebel positions in Attan hills in central Sanna and another target near the Presidential area.

Another raid targeted Houthi military concentrations in Dhabian area in Northern Sanaa, the report said without elaborating on rebel losses.

In a related development, Mansour Al Hanq, head of the Higher Resistance Council in Sanaa, said his units were coordinating with the resistance in other areas for the battle to liberate the capital, a major stronghold of the Iranian-backed insurgents.

“We aim to liberate Sanaa and expel all the criminal Houthi gangs and their allies.

“We are ready for this battle and are coordinating with all resistance units and the national army in other areas to train all those who can carry arms to begin the liberation battle,” he told the Saudi Arabic language daily ‘Al Madina’.

“We are also in touch with our brothers in the Arab coalition, especially Saudi Arabia.

“We are confident that all the areas under the control of the Iranian-backed Houthis and their allies will be totally liberated.”
