Court ends marriage arranged without girl’s knowledge

A Saudi court decided to side with a local girl and split her from her husband after it was told her father arranged the marriage without her knowledge.

The girl told court in the Western town of Medinah that she discovered her father married her to a jobless man who lives in another city.

“She resorted to court after her father refused to listen to her. The court decided to end that marriage and ordered her father to return the dowry to the groom,” Ajel daily said.
