Dead baby found in Kuwait sewage pit

Workers cleaning a sewage pit in Kuwait in the early hours of the morning stumbled across a dead baby believed to have been dumped by his mother.

The workers have just removed the lid of the pit when they saw the tiny body of the newborn baby inside, Alwatan daily said.

“They reported the incident to the police who took the baby to the coroner for examination…police believe a woman dumped her baby there to avert prosecution about a possible illegitimate relationship,” the paper said.
