Dead child found in hospital... after 5 days

A 10-year-old girl was found dead inside the emergency unit of a Saudi hospital and her body was discovered nearly five days after her death.

Nurses and other staff members at the King Faisal Hospital in the Western Saudi town of Makkah discovered the covered body only after the spread of a bad odour through the sprawling section during Eid Al Fitr holidays.

Security cameras showed that the unidentified girl was brought to the hospital by a Toyota Corolla on Monday and that doctors tried to revive her, but she was dead.

“Health authorities and police are investigating the case, including the cause of the girl’s death and whether a criminal act is involved.

“Police said they are trying to find the driver of the Toyota who brought the girl to the hospital,” ‘Sabq’ daily said.
