Dead infant’s head severed, stitched back

Saudi morgue workers preparing a baby who died just minutes after birth were shocked to see that her head had been severed and stitched back.

The workers phoned the father who rushed to the morgue in the southern town of Sharura and saw the many stitches around his dead baby’s neck.

Saleh Al Buraiki said he rushed back to the hospital where his daughter was born and told the management about the incident.

“They acknowledged that the head had been stitched back after it was cut off by accident…they told me my baby died just five minutes after birth,’ he said.

“Morgue workers advised me to complain to the authorities about that hospital, saying they had seen many signs of violence on babies born at that place…some of them believe there is a gang at that hospital working under the cover of medicine and nursing,” he told Ajel newspaper.
