Dead man buried after 3 months in morgue

A Bangladeshi man who had died of heart attack in Saudi Arabia was buried in the Gulf Kingdom on Saturday after his body was kept inside the morgue for nearly three months, a newspaper reported on Sunday.

Mohammed Younus, 54, had worked for a private firm in Saudi Arabia for nearly 10 years before he died in the southwestern town of Ranyah three months ago, the Arabic language daily Sabq said.

Authorities have asked his sponsors many times to take the body for burial in Saudi Arabia after receiving approval from his relatives in Bangladesh.

“But the company kept ignoring the notifications until it was forced to take the body out of the morgue and bury it….Younus was buried in Ranyah cemetery on Saturday after his body was kept inside the morgue for nearly three months.”
