Dog bites off child’s upper lip

A massive guard dog attacked a little Saudi boy and bit his upper lip off before it was forced off the child by its owner, a newspaper said on Saturday.

The boy was playing with a friend in the neighbourhood in the southern town of Bisha when the dog came out of one house and jumped on him.

“The boy fell down and the dog was on him in seconds…it bit his upper lip off and caused injuries in his legs and other parts of the body,” Sabq daily said.

“Amidst screams by residents, the dog owner rushed out and forced the animal off the boy, who could have been killed….doctors told the boy’s father it would not be possible to restore his lip.”
