Donkey rider killed, animal injured

A 70-year-old man riding his donkey was killed when he was knocked over by a speeding car in  the Gulf Kingdom but his animal escaped with injuries, a newspaper reported on Tuesday.

The man was crossing the road on his donkey near the western town of Qunfudah when he was hit by the vehicle.

“The man was rushed to hospital but died before arrival…police arrested the driver for investigation,” Sabq daily said.
