Driver survives 100m car fall with light injuries

A Saudi man emerged with light injuries after his car plunged more than100 metres into an abyss in a rugged area in the Gulf Kingdom.

The unnamed man was driving his vehicle near the southern mountainous town of Baha when he lost control of the car at a curve above the valley.

“The car was badly damaged but the driver suffered from light injuries,” Sabq Arabic language daily said on Monday.

It said local residents appealed for local authorities many times to carry out a promised project to make that area safer for driving but no action has been taken yet despite a series of accidents there.
