Drowned child dies after rescue

A 13-year-old Saudi girl died just after she was rescued from drowning in a lake in the Gulf Kingdom, a newspaper reported on Tuesday.

Divers plucked the girl alive after she drowned in the lake near the Northwestern town of Hail, but they failed to resuscitate her, ‘Sabq’ said.

“The girl was found two metres under the water. She was still alive, but died just after she was pulled out,” the paper said.
