A Pakistani man risked his life and rescued a three-year-old Saudi boy from drowning inside a sewage pit in the Gulf Kingdom as the child’s father stood watching with horror, a newspaper said on Wednesday.

The father and his boy were walking back home in the northern town of Rafha when the child fell into the uncovered pit and started screaming and struggling.

“A Pakistani who happened to be passing in that area quickly jumped into the pit and grabbed the boy before he was swallowed by the water,” Okaz said.

“The boy was taken to hospital where he was treated…his father told police the Pakistani man saved his son in the last minute.”
