Drowning of the lambs

Nearly 230 sheep were swallowed by the sea when a laden cargo boat sailing from Iran sank off Kuwait because of strong winds.

Kuwaiti civil defence rescued the two boat owners and around 50 sheep but failed to save the rest of the 280-sheep shipment.

“Rescuers saved nearly 50 sheep and resuscitated them onshore…the remaining

230 sheep drowned,” Alanba daily said.
