Drug dealer executed in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia’s authorities on Tuesday executed a Pakistani man after he was convicted of smuggling heroin in his stomach, newspapers said.

Baz Mohammed was executed in the eastern Saudi port of Alkhobar after he was sentenced to death by a local court, they said.

They quoted police as saying Mohammed had been arrested after screening showed he had concealed a “large amount” of heroin capsules inside his stomach.

The papers did not say how Mohammed was executed but death sentences in the Kingdom are usually carried out by the sword.
