Drunk Bahraini ends up in ex-minister’s house
A Bahraini who was caught drunk inside an ex-minister’s house in Manama told court that he simply was tired and wanted to have some sleep, the Arabic language Alayyam newspaper said on Tuesday.
The former minister, who was not named, phoned the police at night and told them there was a stranger in his back garden.
“The man told the court that he was walking back home after having a drink at a friend’s house,” the paper said.
“He said he saw the gate of the ex-minister’s house open so he entered and went to the garden to sleep. He said he does not remember anything else.”
