Egyptian wife kills husband while joking

A pregnant Egyptian woman killed her husband when she threw a knife at him while the two were joking with each other, a newspaper in Egypt reported on Thursday.

Hala Talaat, 20 and her 30-year-old husband Mustafa Jadd, who married a few months ago, began jokingly throwing paper and other items at each other after having dinner at their apartment in Bany Suwaif town south of Cairo.

“She then hurled a knife at him…it landed on his chest and pierced into his heart, killing him instantly,” Alyoum Al-Sabei daily said.

It said police arrested the woman, who is pregnant in her 3rd month. “She told police she loved her husband and she was just joking with him…she said she would regret what she had done for the rest of her life.”
