Saudi Arabia has decided to give its civil servants a 12-day break to mark Eid Al Fitr, which ends the fasting month of Ramadan, newspapers reported on Monday.
Work hours for the more than five million public sector employees have also been reduced from eight to five hours a day during Ramadan, which began on Sunday.
Newspapers quoted civil service minister Abdul Rahman Al Barrak as saying all government offices would be closed for 12 days for Eid, with the holiday starting on Ramadan 25 (Tuesday July 22).
