Engineer smacks staff at Grand Mosque

An engineer was caught on camera smacking his workers at the Grand Mosque in Saudi Arabia, triggering angry public reactions.

A YouTube film published by the Saudi daily 'Ajel' showed the unidentified engineer hit one worker in the face before kicking him out. He then smacked another as the other workers appeared to be looking on with fear.

The paper said viewers of the film, taken at the Grand Mosque in the Western town of Makkah, called on authorities to identify and punish the engineer, who works for a local company carrying out a project at the Grand Mosque.
